It seems like just yesterday that you were packing up your desk and getting ready to say goodbye to your student body for a much-needed two months away. You could see the beaches and possible Margaritas that awaited you. Then just six days ago someone said to you something along the lines of, “can you believe it’s august already”. Your heart stopped a little bit and you realized that in just a few weeks you’ll be back at school. 

Now although this summer went by like a Ferrari on a racetrack we have to remember that our students had the same amount of time as we did, and they also are “semi” dreading leaving the beach life for ballpoint pens, and number two pencils. There is no need to dive into the last three years, we all get it, it kind of sucked, but now I truly believe it’s time for all of us as a collective to start moving forward. The question is what does that look like?

Since this past April schools have been contacting me requesting me to come speak at their opening day, talk to faculty, run workshops, etc. All with the hope of bringing some more hope and positivity into their schools. There has never been a period of time in human history where humans didn’t need more positivity in their lives. Today is no different. 

We need to get back to connecting with one another, laughing, and sharing positive energy throughout our respective schools. Our youth deserve to come back to something better than what normal was before the world started changing.

For the last ten years, I’ve been traveling all over the world sharing my message and inspiring the next generation and their respective faculty members. I am looking forward to speaking to your schools soon.
